I agree. The hybrid section ges quiet dead on here sometimes.
This looks like a cross between titanium x ZZ. ZZ body shape, good pearls, weak tail.

It's a kamalau and it looks like a male to me. Was it recently moved? Give it time to settle and it will be a nice one. Kamalau look really bad over black substrate also. Mixed colored gravel will really bring out this fishes colors.
Its not a Kamalau. Nothing about this fish says golden monkey.
But i will agree with gravel. Make it lighter you fish will turn lighter making the pearls much brighter and the color more intense.
Either way, Strains mean nothing at all unless coming from a respectable breeder.

This fish doesn't have any Thai Silk pearling at all, it would be either a Kamfa cross with a ZZ or a Thai KML. Kamfamalau is also a possibility on this fish no doubt. As far as being a male or a female, I can't say anything about it just yet.
