ID question

I saw a pike in one of my LFS that had similar markings of a fish I found in the ID thread. It also had like a black teardrop. I had a picture somewhere but can't find it. It was about 12" and the main body color looked like a sp. venezuela to me. That's a pic of a Crenicichla sp. 'Atabapo Fire'. If your LFS has one, buy it up.

This is probably one of the better pics.

Reportedly it is a very red fish of incredible beauty but the lack of pictures have kept if from becoming a highly popular fish. If somebody were to grow them out and take pics it would be a great help to the hobby!

thanks a bunch for the picture. If it's still there at the end of the month, I will grab it, which it probably will be since it's been there for a while. I have to go to that store for something tomorrow, so I'll probably end up getting it then even though I don't have any money, LOL.
