I was looking at aquascape online and they had a type of ray that was called a flower ray but was from peru, so I was wondering what species of ray it is and about what size they grow to?

A peru flower is a castexi varient. They will grow anywhere from 18" to +24" and will be the dominant ray in the tank most likely. Most castexi owners will tell you they are their favorite ray because of their personality.

alright, what would the growth be for one in about a year? I am mainly wondering because I am moving out of my apartment complex to a new building after the contract is up and want to build a pond for rays.

alright, seems like a fast grower compared to my retic then, I have had him for 3 months and he might have put on .5" to his diameter
