yes its sp. assam. Sadly some guys jump oin the train started by Mr. Bleher that these are Channa amphibeus. But sp. Assam never get the size amphibeus are described with. So its surely NOT amphibeus.
Yes, they have a lesser distribution range than bleheri so we can call it wildcaughts are not as frequent as bleheri. They are not from Assam, India but from West Bengal, India and the locals call them 'Lal Cheng'. This year a lot have been caught and circulating in the trade worldwide. It's a cracking little dwarf Channa which breeds easily.
