ID Shark Smashed through the lid!!!

I got home this afternoon to find smashed glass inside my tank,then noticed my ID shark has copped some nasty slices to his body,head and a 1'' slice just above his eye.Im pretty sure the culprit is my clownknife which i have busted chasing the big guy when the lights are off.Is it ok to add salt to help him recover? Is 1 tablespoon per 10 gallon ok?.Should i up the temp? At the moment the temp is 27 degrees celcius.The shark is 22'' long and is housed in an 8x2x2 with a 19'' giant gourami, 17'' clownknife and a 22'' freshwater eel.Ive had him for over 7 years and is my pride and joy.
 
thats bad news...add salt and maybe put him in a sepertate tank by himself so he can recover quicker
 
Yeah i was going to add salt but im not sure on how much to use as the shark is scaleless. I dont have another tank big enough for him either.Hes a bit of a monster,22'' long and 8'' high.

haha id sharks are rare there? in the us you can go to petco and buy like seven of them for 20 dollars.haha
 
NSW mate.hes a pretty hardy fish and has had a few hits in his time but not as bad as this.hopefully he pulls through.just fed em and he hasnt lost his appetite at all which is a good sign.Thanx mate,he should be ok.

in my opinion CK rarely cause problem, if there is a pellet by a fish he could easily kill, he'll what for the fish to move and the get the pellet. and if u like the knife and hes not causing major problems, keep it
