hi all, i have picked up a 14inc id shark 3days ago and he is having problems.
i think it all started with the box he was put in when i picked him up. it was only just bigger than him and he must have been in it for around 4 hours. when i got him home i opened the box to a very bad smell in the water.
i gave the fish a good look over and notised that one of his fins looked like it had been nipped, but no other problems.
after he had been in the tank for the night i came down in the morning to put the tank light on and saw that his face had 3 good size marks on it (very red) and his fin was mutch worse also both eyes were clowed over.
i did a water test, and every thing read as fine (also no problem with any other fish (as well as other id sharks)
today one of his eyes looks a lot better but still not clear, his fin has not got any worse and the 3 red marks have now gone a white and look like they have started to heal.
i am sure the fins have got fin rott (i will post some picts soon)
i would be interested to know if someone could shed some light on why this may of happend (was it down to the box) and will it clear up in time with just good water and milliflex
