ID sheath catfish please!

Hey everyone,
i just picked this lovely specimen from a lfs that has a treasure trove of oddballs. i tried ID-ing it myself but i'm not quite sure which species.

i just got 2 of those as well, one's albino with speckles and the other one is normal, anyways, my lfs labeled them as asst. catfish, i looked at some threads and pretty sure they are called ompok.

That;s correct. It's an Ompok bimaculatus.

but Oddball, after some research i think it's Ompok siluroides
( http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/species.php?species_id=2355 ) rather than Ompok bimaculatus.

do you agree?

I just noticed your location. It's possible that it's O. siluroides. I've yet to see this species in the US. Nice pickup.

wow they grow 17" that's cool coz they're an average size for a cat, nice PU!

Hi everyone!! thanks for the exciting response!
i'm thrilled by this fish as well, he's been very active and eating heathily.

I couldn't get any good full tank shots today.. i'll try it again next time! meanwhile here are some pics!

the tank stock is currently:
4 juvenile channa asiatica
2 juvenile ARTC
1 java combtail - it was an accidental import that i picked up
1 sheath catfish
1 fw eel* i added today
*still trying to ID him, check out the post in the Eels section and help if you have any ideas.. THANKS!
