ID snakehead

I dont know if this is possible, but does anyone know what kind of snakehead this is. It was sold as a Channa Lucius.

Looks like a Channa Lucius juvenile but the one i had the spots were blacker can you get better picture. they loose the spots when they get biger get to about 40cm ish

the stripe on the eye looks like its a lucia. 90% sure

how big is your tank?

i suggest you don't buy any since they get big and aggressive.

for me, having 4 gauchas in a tank is already hard enough. and my albino striata absolutely hates tankmates.

if you dont want to end up having 3 dead SH and 1 injured, i suggest you stick with the one you have. UNLESS you got seperate tanks for each

Channa gachua are a dwarf snakehead and only reach a length of about 8". It is one of the smallest species of snakehead. they are ok with other fish as long a the Channa cant get them in its mouth and the other fish cant get the channa in its.

They are hard as nails. pH: 6.0-8.0 and temps of 10-28 degrees very cool fish

O the lucia will eat them when he gets bigger

They will go in different tanks. If i manage to get some dwarf snakeheads. These cind of fish is alwayes special order where i live.
