Marulioides tend to have kind of vertical black bars across the bottom whereas Marulius has more circular markings. But the picture you supplied doesn't help at all. Here is a pic of my Marulius and my marulioides when they were both around 4-5". Hope it helps! Channa Marulius: Channa Marulioides:
