I do not know what this is.

setup is:
30gallon
2 aquaclear filters one 20 and a 70 power head with a filler cartage slapped on there.
double T5 light
double 50/50 standard florescent fixture
nutrafin co2 system.
the tank is planted.
I had 3 fish in there one Arowana, unfortunately passes on. Long story was holding for my boy.
1 red tail and a bristle nose pleco from my 46 gallon African tank.

Tanks been up and running for 3 weeks.
my amonia levels are close to 0. my nitrate levels are through the roof, the cycle should almost be complete soon but the red tail and pleco could not tolerate it any more so temparaly there in with the africans(Tangs).
sort of eralivant to this but just clueing you in on what has been happening:), any how this lil dude showed up on my glass a couple of minutes ago I have no idea what it is, any one got a clue?

Oooohhh..Which snail do you have hitchhiking around? Snails are fascinating creatures.

Remove them before they hatch, snails are almost impossible to get rid of once they take hold.

Not really. A small group of loaches, a pufferfish, or a stingray will pretty much wipe out any trace of them in a short period of time...

I don't agree with using a fish to eliminate the snails. Simply put, you have to CONTROL your feeding rations.;)

I don't mean simply adding a fish to take care of a problem, but if you keep certain kinds of fish, they will help to eliminate a problem.

But your point is well taken.
