Thanks. I'm trying to get more of these, going to try the same lfs in a few days.

Looks like a Zebra. Domestic P. Scalare.

Zebra Lace. One gene for dark.

Angelfish for sure.

yea he looks like he has strong blue colouration in the tail ive never seen an angel like it

The poster that said Zebra Lace had it right. What is the lighting in your tank? The lighting looks like it has a spike in the blue spectrum and is hi-liting the blue pigment in the fish.

If you are asking if it carries the Philippine Blue gene, probably not.(though Philippine Blue is becoming more common and are in pet stores even so it's possible but if you paid under $5-$7 USD for it, I'd find it highly unlikely that it is PB.) Zebras normally have more irridescent color than normal silver angels. That is probably what you are seeing. [I say this as a former Philippine Blue mutation breeder] It's not always easy to identify a Philippine Blue by photos. For example: the fish in my profile pic IS Philippine Blue (smokey) but the light angle makes the blue very hard to see in the photo. :)

+1. My zebra angels suddenly got massive blue coloration when I switched from t8 to marineland led. (blue stays on even during daytime function)
