I set up this 8 gal tank on Feb 20,2012 and a few weeks later i noticed some sponge looking things that began growing in some of my corals, and today i discovered this black looking star that moves can you guys help me identify these things?

The first one looms like a sponge, generally harmless and great water polishers. Second looks like a type of brittle star but pic isn't very good. Is there any way to take it out of the tank and get a better pic?
