Please help me ID this type of African. All pictures are of the same species of fish, I got them all as siblings in a group. The more vibrant one is just the dominant male.

Thanks in advance!

the blue one up top looks like a zebra to me, however i am no authority

Yes, the blue I think is a zebra (Notice the spots on the anal fin). But I'm not sure the others.

Well , I thought I had an answer until I read your post again. The main fish in the first three pics looks alot like a socolofi/acei hybrid. I know a woman who housed the two species together(went against the advice given) and the pindani male quickly took over the aceis females and some of the resulting hybrids looked alot like the main fish in the first three pics. None really looked like the others in your pics but not many of her fish made it either so Im stumped. It could be a pure species Im completely overlooking , either way I hope this helps a little.

The spots on the anal fin tell us nothing. Females and males get them. It is not a zebra.

The "blue one" looks to be a Pseudotropheus socolofi, some even lack areas lack the black on the anal fin. The color is not great on it. However they are monomorphic, meaning male and females should look the same.

How big are they?

The blue male is about 3" and the rest are along the lines of 2-2.5". He's actually more of a purplish powder blue in real life with yellow enveloping the dorsal and anal fin which is also lined with black, it's just the flash that washes the color and intensifies the iridescence. The tail's yellow. The ventrals are yellow with a black line and white lining too. The others, I notice bars on once in a while, but they fade in and fade out.

Without flash, I can not keep them still for a good picture. I hope this info helps.

Oh! The main male pretty much looks like this guy, but with yellow lining on the dorsal, anal, and tail fins:

Not much like the acei I googled up.

So hybrid they are? I got them all when they were itty bitty like about .5" long and all of them looked the same back then.

It looks like a Metriaclima callainos ..

Not M. callainos. Color and shape are off. They are also monomorphic.
