ID this bird

Saw this in a pond in Pu Tuo Shan.

I've never seen one of these before back in the PH and I'm really curious to what this is.

I'm thinking it's a grey heron but I'm not entirely sure since I'm no expert on birds.

Looks like the typical grey heron in Europe. they eat the fish from your ponds!
