lol I looked at the picture before reading your words and literally just thought, "damn that looks like a whale."

no idea what it really is though just found that humerous.
 
looks similar to the "wood shovelnose" that someone posted earlier. it belongs to some weird shovelnose family...
 
Ageneiosus sp.........gulper cats from South America,grow to around 30 cm,peaceful with anything that wont fit into that huge mouth.
 
Agree with Aquaman. Ageneiosus sp. Only get to around 8-10 inches and will eat small fish but not touch anything larger than there mouth. Like to have company of their own kind.

Ageneiosus polystictus, largest in the genus. Grows up to 18" as adults. Compatible with anything that isn't overly aggressive and doesn't fit in the massive mouth ;).
