Just added him to my tank and this catfish was labeled as a wood shovel nose. When I googled this information, I did not find any infomation on my catfish. Made up name?
*I had to remove afew baby monsters because bichirs and clown knives were growing too fast for some of my stock.

Bomber.

I am no expert ... but just by looking at it to me it looks like a hybrid between a shovelnose cat and a ID .... I am most likely wrong but just thought I would say what it looks like to me

An Ageneiosus sp. The patterning is similar to A. magoi, but the white bands aren't as wide. I've never seen a species name assigned and believe it's still undescribed, but don't quote me on the last.

WYite

Thanks. I knew someone would know.

Anyone out there ever raised one of these?

How big do they get?

There is no detailed information about this catfish. It does not even have a common name yet.

I agree with Wyomingite
I think there are a few people here with some but i couldn't tell ya who
size varies between the species and you could probably find something more on planet catfish

Sorry but i don't know the exact species of that fish. The pictures of ones that I have seen with the same basic shape have been monsters. Some over five feet long. I'm going to guess that this fish will be a future MONSTER.
