ID This Channa in the wild (Northern Laos)

I'm a real newb when it comes to Snakeheads (seeing as they are banned from trade in the US) but have been doing some exploring of fish species in Laos. I came across this one in Luang Prabang province at a waterfall. Any help on ID would be appreciated!

Very common in my country, local language its called haruan.

Apparently famous with traditional medicine too.

This looks like a Channa Striata, a very common snakehead species in my country. People are likely here cook them for soup/porridge, says that its has medicine cure.

Good fish, looks cute while young, Thanks for sharing the picture.

It's a Channa Striata, in Laos and Thailand they call it Pla Chon.
