I bought some shrimps as feeders and this guy got slipped in i guess.. it was really red when i got him at first but the next day he grew bigger and had abit of stripes.
ID this channa please.

hmm.. it seems he changed colour again.. to a bit darker brown with more black stripes starting from its back (top to bottom)doubt that is a micropeltes.. will get a picture as soon as i have the opportunity
I have a good idea of what it is, but am not saying anything till you post pics of it out of a net in a proper tank!!!
sorry.. its really small in the tank and it always hides in the rocks i use as gravel... every time i get a camera out, he swims off so its really difficult to even make him stay in one place
oh thanks for the reply. i was wondering, will the become darker in colour a little similar to the channa micropeltes? coz on the day when i got this guy i bought another snakehead which was called "haruan siam" and it looked alot like the channa micropeltes (adult) when the SH was only 1.5inches..
