I wouldn't pay over 2-3 dollars for it.

Depends on you really. They're found feral in Florida. I've never seen one in person here in CA. I wouldn't mind paying $10 for one but that's me.

Tilapia mariae are as the previous post said, very common down here in florida. I find them to be attractive large fish, which would be a good choice for large aggro cichlid tanks. shouldn't pay anything over 10 dollars though
