he's for sure a hybrid...

got him at petsmart a while back as a red texas.

but im not sure if its the kamfa hybrid from seagrest that everyone speaks of...

any ideas?

nice. do you have any idea on the hybridization? also the sex perhaps? i feel like its a male synspilum/kamfa mix but thats just a guess

This looks similar to my red dragon flowern crossed with a texas cichlid that I once had.

Color is bland but hes got nice pearls. Cool fish.

He's got carpinte pearls, fins, and eyes. Use him to breed with a faded texas. Nice short face on him. I think he's a nice looking fish. When he's bigger and humpier, he'll be more impressive. Hope pearls shine more
