Powder Brown Tang????

Ha, I am kidding. I think it is a Halichoeres Melanurus or Hoeven's or Tail Spot Wrasse, though I am not positive.

Fairy Wrasse.

it looks like a lunare wrasse

Scientific names my children...

Common names are no fun, common names hurt someone.

Looks like a melanarus from here as well, but the coloration is really crappy.

Time to start feeding NLS. :D

Lol fleshy. But there's like 698425759 different kind of fairy wrasse. So that's just what I call them lol. Tfh magazine ftw.

Agreed, too many overlapping and confusing common names.

Also, that is what I thought too. Surprised a public aquarium would have a fish looking that dull. Maybe there is more too it, stocking and such, who knows.

I hope the spots on that powder browns fins are actually on the tank too.

I dunno. I have seen some pretty shoddy public aquaria.

Not exactly known for pristine care or heath...

I think a lot of corners get cut when you start trying to care for animals as a business...you have to ask yourself...where can I cut corners?
