ID this fish please flowerhorn or trimac

hey everyone,
this little guy was sold to me as a trimac bought under the scientific name Amphilophus trimaculatus but am hearing it might be a flowerhorn. any input would be much appreciated since i'm using him in breeding projects I want to be sure of what i'm putting out there.

that bastard fish made me put up with his temper tantrums thinking it was worth it for a trimac and its a flowerhorn :( him and his girlfriend are my favorite fish I have to :( but on a bright note I found out my red texas is actually a red texas even tho he might not fade so my day did not completely suck lol im thankful for the info sure would not want to try and sell some fry and mislabel what they are
