ID this fish plz is it a bifa??

I was once told V. Zonataums dont display red.
 
that's a Vieja Zonatus, looks like a female.

jeff rapps female zonatus has pretty similar patterns at a smaller size to this fish.
 
this one has some mysterious pink to it, and no line accross the body
which to me says it isn't a fenestratus.
 
Have you ever owned zonatus? I have. Had a nice female. That fish is not a zonatus, the full red head is a huge tip off that's it not zonatus. The Rapps photo you posted shows nicely how zonatus don't have a red head.

A common name for fenestrauts is the window cichlid, due to the vertical bars, which this fish has. Odd, but true. Fenestratus also have a red/pink head, which this fish has.

Though I do agree that it's a female.

100% agree! I have a young Zonatus right now and there is NO reds. Fene all day!
