Hi
The orange flash under the eye makes me think its from India and probably of the Bengali strain...

If it isn`t Channa sp Turquoise, well then I don`t know to be honest.
What I do know is that this variety is EXACTLY the same as the group of 4 fish I`ve just bought, so I`m really eager to find out!!

Freakdaddy, is sp Turquoise different to this?

Good point.. I have both spieces (in different tanks) and I can only tell them apart because the juvie Turqs had eye spot at the rear of the dorsal, Bengals do not...So short of DNA testing you may have settle with the fact that its a Sub tropical Gachua type from India..;)

Thx guys
So i can breed them without heater?
Thats perfect fish for me :D

Piotrek, you should be OK without a heater, just so long as it doesn`t get TOO cold. Good luck breeding them.

They starting to form pairs, they have from 4" to 5.5"
I have six of them ;)
