id this Gar please..

I would say spotted gar. Nice fish.

given the snout width and length i would say Florida gar...although it is important to keep in mind the distinction is difficult between the Florida and spotted gar species. a spotted gar of the size/scale apparent in this photo should have a longer and much narrower snout.--

florida gar, i have had one for over 9 years. i wish he would have been in a bigger tqank than a 55 for his first 5 yrs i had him, however, he is a great specimen and they r a great fish. will live for over 20 yrs. yours is a great fish

its eyes are really cloudy. what causes that? i would have to agree w/ it being a florida gar.

yea, the eye was.... cloudy.... some kind of desease? or flash of a camera?
