that is a pretty decent shot at the gar to identify,yes blurry but still pretty obvious

Excuse me...No it is not obvious and it could be any Lepisosteus by those pics....If you wanted to guess you could but to get a good accurate ID I do not think so...
 
richard is right, in order to get a solid ID a better pic will be needed; given the shot we have here, i would lean more towards Florida than anything else. again, a better shot would help ID--
