Is this guy some sort of veil tailed convict or hybrid? it has long fins and a hump on its haid similar to a FH.

are there more than one kind of convict? besides pink. cuz in all the pictures ive seen of convicts, none of them have the long whispy fins like my guy. maybe i just havent seen enough
It's a male con for sure. Any male con can grow the long wispy extensions on the dorsal, some even grow elongated flags on the caudal it's just not as common since many aren't kept in top-top shape.

Your male just has chewed up fins. It is usual for a male con kept without any fish to have its fins to grow really long. Mine does when kept without a female then the fins get chewed up. There are 3 known variants of Cons, the pink and the Black are the main 2 then there is marbled which is like dalmatian colored.
