was told it a butterfly bass, but im going to guess it is a mono/ocell hybrid .... what do you guys think ? guy had him in a 90g tank and he roughly 16" and he has a HUGE pimple on his chin, what cause's these and will it ever go away ?

looks like a mono to me as for the "pimple" it is most likey from slamming into the glass because imo he was housed in too small a tank it should heal up though

and also I could be from them feeding gold fish and slamming his self into the glass/ acylic

ya i kinda thought maybe the bit of HITH he has was from feeders but the previous owner claimed he only fed pellets every other day
I doubt if the pimple goes away completely. It will probably go down a little and heal up though.

I know what fish this is and IMHO not worth the price tag asking.
I've seen marks like that on pbass before. It will heal and go down but not completely.
You'll want to make sure that fish is going in at least a 24" wide tank or you'll keep having the same problem with space on a 18" tank.

he is in a 19" wide tank atm, and the price was basically almost free
better off in my tank then the 90g he was in 6 hrs ago lol90g is 18" wide. Pretty close to 19"
Anyways, did you pick him up? I hope you didn't pay the $100 price tag it was listed as on kijiji.

Lol oh god no !!! I never saw it listed at 100$ he had it listed for 40 before I'm not gonna say what I grabbed it for but it was basically free darn near
