I'm not sure if my leporinus is a leporinus fasciatus, or a lep.straitus or a octofasciatus!!!!!:nilly:

lol its a fasciatus Be carefullt thlough they can get pretty nassty when bigger. They like fish eyeballs
 
yeah, they chew on bichirs and bite my catfish tail's and fins.
 
Yeah man, those guys are mean as hell. And they only get meaner with age. My friend owned one that decided to kill all of his fish one day. So he took it into the LFS, and it killed all of the fish in the tank at the LFS. After being isolated, then sold, he was returned soon after for killing all of the customers fish. For some reason, the LFS then put it in a tank with other fish. It killed those too....

usually fasciatus don't have the yellow marking on the fin vertical with the 8th stripe from the eye.
