I've been looking to get a Pleco for my new 100 gallon Oscar tank. Today at my LFS I saw what was labeled as "Yellow Pleco"s. I have never heard of a yellow pleco before, and they really just looked like Chocolate Plecos to me. Google didn't return any results for a Yellow Plec. They were only $3, so I got one.
I need help IDing him! Whatever he is, he's just little right now. And absolutely adorable. I have had someone tell me that he looks like a Yellow Rubbernose (or rubber lip?) plec, but he doesn't have the weird oval mouth that those guys have.
Here's some pictures! Think you can help me ID him?

I think Plecos grow pretty quick. And if this is what the guys above say it is, it could get well over a foot in length. Very nice.

I had to rescue a little Plec today. A friend was keeping him in a 10 gallon with no water changes, any of that. He's skinny, too. When he's sucking on the glass I can see his stomach area is caved in. Not sure what I'm gonna do with him yet, but for the time being at least he's in a suitable home!
What do you guys think he is? A common pleco? He's just little right now, 3".

that one looks like a common

Now you have a common and a chocolate or an albino chocolate, first pic you posted looks albino last looks chocolate, maybe just the flash making it look albino. Anyways both grow huge and poop a lot, and suck at eating algae when they hit like 7", goodluck with them:)
