ID this plant, please

I've left it floating in my cherry shrimp tank, and within a couple of days it started shooting out those root type things shown in the second pic. It has been about a month since i had this in my tank and that's how it looks now. has a pretty thick stem, not sure what else to tell you.

please ID it so i can take better care of it and such. thank you

Looks to be Bacopa caroliniana, but to be sure, cut it in half out of the water, and smell it. If you have a very strong smell, kind of like eucalyptus, then it is B. caroliniana.
