Scomb, and 9 inches is a decent size.

Yea TATs have red in them. AKA red tailed payara. Scombs have the black and see thru tail. I would have to get at 9''. Whats 40 bucks, you would just spend it on something else. No body likes the scomb's cause of the bad stories. But search around and you will find bad stories about tats and armatus's as well and i think the only reason you here more about scombs is because the are the most common.

X2 on Scomb.

at 9" for 40.00 bux is a good deal

This fish has been at the LFS for a while now...because of the "sudden death thing" do you guys think its caused from live foods or if the fish is converted to pellets will it be able to maybe live past the 10" margin? "I guess I can wait for it to grow one more inch. JK"

Good points, I have one of each of these guys and my scom is about eight or nine inches and also happens to be the most active and the least skittish. When I do water changes the tat and the Armatus always go into panic mode,I sometimes think they will get hurt by bashing into the glass while the scomb peacefully glides around the tank. I say get it.
