i just rescued this guy from my LFS. he is about 8" and was in with a flowerhorn, which as you can see had beaten up on him quite a bit. i have him in QT right now with melafix, but am just wondering what variant he/she is?

probably female but hard to tell. get a good face shot and that would help on sexing it

lucky i wouldve taken it also and get him all nice and fixed up.
 
yeah, but the bad news is that the endli i bought at the same time jumped over his divider and became an oscar snack. oh well, i still have the other two endli's and they have thier own tank now... just wish i could have saved the other one
