IMO its just a backcross of Green x Bluegill hybrid to Bluegill. Not F1 Greengill for sure.

I don't think it is hybrid between Bluegill and Pumpkinseed because Bluegill and Green can have blue streaks on the gills. And how you explain about the big mouth?
What big mouth nothing looks big about it , and pumpkinseeds also have blue streaks on there gill plate.

Blue streaks on the gills is not only on pumpkinseed but in other sunfish species as well. I have seen few pure bluegills with blue streaks while greens has them which is not new to me. Redbreast, longear, orangespotted, dollars and even warmouth has some blue streaks.

So you dont notice something's different with the mouth? It looks big than pure bluegill and pure pumpkinseed...

Mouth size is a common identification factor with sunfish.

The mouth is larger than a pure bluegill or a pure pumpkinseed.

The mouth is smaller than a pure green sunfish.

The mouth is the correct size for a green x bluegill hybrid.

The body shape is absolutely correct for a bluegill hybrid, and the mouth is too large for a pumpkinseed or bluegill. Pumpkinseed have fairly small mouthes and pumpkinseed x bluegill generally have smaller mouthes than the fish pictured.

The body pattern and shape are normal for a bluegill x green.

No red present on the gill spot, which is often the case with pumpkinseed x bluegill hybrids.

Why did you think pumpkinseed x bluegill? What features led you to this conclusion? Honestly curious.

This is a known pumpkinseed x northern bluegill, from nanfa. Female pumpkinseed male bluegill.

I'm not seeing many similarities.

IDing lepomis hybrids can be hard since they aren't necessarily always a 50/50 mix and they can vary. I still don't see pumpkinseed, personally. Mostly bluegill.

Im assumed that MST thought these blue streaks on this hybrid sunfish's gills were traits of pumpkinseed, but nearly all sunfish can have that trait.

ID hybrid sunfish are harder than pure species and I still have trouble to ID pure green sunfish, pure pumpkinseed and pure bluegills from green hybrids on occasions. I do have few odd Greengills from time to time that do not looks like your typical F1 Greengill, only bluegill with larger mouth...like this picture, one of my catches.
