ID this texas species

I'd say it looks like a normal carpintis/green Texan that I've seen but I've never been good at fish ID and I'm not well versed in Texans in the first place. Don't take my word for it.
 
Agree it looks like carpintus.
And the name green Texas is a misnomer, they don't come from Texas.
The only true Texas cichlid is Herichthys cyanoguttaus.
Correct me if i'm wrong but they are native to Mexico if I can recall correctly
