Dracaena sanderiana. Truly aquatic? No. The lady is wrong. You got ripped off.:(
 
Those aren't really aquatic, their roots can be submerged, but stock and leaves should be above water level.

yeah pretty much,....as for the low light plants and easy maintenance would be java fern and any kind of anubias...both of them are cheap, look good and are very hardy plants, the only thing about those two is that they both have rhizomes with roots, the rhizome shouldn't be buried but easily attached to wood or rocks.
