at first i thought it was planaria however they started to form some sort of shell around itself. it could also be snails but dont know what kind they are. anyways whats the best way to get rid of them (even manually i will do it). my tank just doesnt look presentable with all these things on the front glass.

Those are limpets. Ive had these and I get them every now and then. I didnt know what they were till someone told me. Theyre harmless though. But if you dont like them you can take them out, which is what I do. They are kinda like a mollusk, and I think there is only 1 freshwater species of limpets, rest are all marine.

any suggestions how to manually take them out? i tried picking them with my fingers but its hard to with trimmed nails.

woah first time iv seen one of those, interesting lil things:popcorn:

it looks like when you get a piece of organic material (such as something dead) that rots and forms mold and fungus around itself... has anyone ever seen this?
My friend got home from college and his parents did a pisspoor job with his tank and he had two of the mold/fungus cocoons and inside were wasps haha it was hella gross and stank!!!...

im not saying thats what it is, i agree with all yall on the limpets i was just saying what it reminded me off...
