1st group look cintca -ish. But don't quote me on that, the big boys are not my speciality.
2nd group is regani, based on the pattern in the female's dorsal fin, not sure which race though.

First group does appear to be Cincta of which color variation, to early to tell yet. They appear to be in an lfs or wholesalers/hatachery. Unless of course you have all those tanks setup at your place.:)

Nice!! So you DID finally go back and take pictures!! Glad I was able to talk you into it!!! You still think you could get me some up here? HAHAHA!

Definatly cincta, very very very nice!! Hallalujah for that as well!!! You should grab some yourself!

Shore doesn't look like notos like originally believed. Good thing you got pictures before you payed that for something they are not. :)

Sweet crennies! Nice pick-ups!

Also the dorsal pattern in the female is differant from noto's too. Looks like the main amazonian race, but don't quote me on that. Sometimes it's hard to tell, though I do believe they'll carve up regani into differant species once someone like Kullander looks at them. One has already been seperated out (Rio Xingu race).

Couldn't use the dorsal fin for the male in the pics becuase it wasn't extended. Still great pikes. I just picked up a female sold as a noto, which is ironic as both times I've bought noto's, they were listed as regani. Around here, they are always the same price give or take regardless if they are listed as noto's, regani, or wallacii.

The front 3-5 spines on male notos are really black compared to regani also.

Hmm from what I can tell the front 4 spines are almost completely black and there is a small gap. I cannot tell if the 2nd spine is longer than the others....

I was looking at the cichlid year book vol6 and it appears there are a lot of variants of Regani...

There was another female in the tank that looked like she only had about 1.5 occli on the dorsal....

It can deffinately be a trick to get them to flare their fins. My female regani just has to get her tankmates near her, my spec. 'wallacii' normally flare during feeding. My orginally noto's almost never flared though, except when the males met each other in the tank.

Deffinately a lot of regani morphs (tapajos, tefe, amazon, mamore/guapore are the ones that come to mind, but I know there are several more). Xingu used to be considered one, but was split off onto it's own, undescribed species. I imagine that will happen to a few of the others as well. Your female looks a lot like mine, which I believe to be the amazonian race, but can't be 100% sure without collection data.
