My lfs had a group of six, I p/u four. I was thinking sajicas or keyhole or chocolate cichlid. The clerk was definately an idiot because he told me they were Texas cichlids and try to be helpful when possible and gave my opinion that they were not and then he flat out gave me attitude:confused: so I figured he suffered from "ESCS"....."employee smarter than customer syndrone". So when I got ready to check out he told he made a mistake and they were african cichlid sp:ROFL:. Im no expert but Im willing to bank my prediction is closer than his. Take a look and let me know your thoughts:

Sorry about the bad pics...(Just waiting for Aquamojo open up his school of great pics). they seemed stressed out so I housed them and will let them acclimatize for a day or two before disturbing them. Thanks in advance.

If it was for the orange/red in the fins,I'd say keyhole. But since there is that coloration,I think you can rule that one out.

watever they are they look pretty kewl never seened one of those before

Yeah what about the coloration of the fins. I was checking and did not notice the coloration of the fin with that of the keyhole cichlid.

It's not a sajica, Or a Temporalis. I'm 100% sure about that.

trust me the lfs isn't very knowledgable and the fish seemed very stressed all huddled up in the corner and one skimming the top for air. Just waiting and hopefully they will calm/relax out. and more pics may help ID.

yea maybe when there settled there real color can pop out
