It's been a while since I posted in the Pike section. I like the pinned stuff, and am glad one of my pics made it into the "venezuala" id line up.

I just sold my ven, and it was just over 9 inches (I think), or at least looked that way in the bag...and I've got a little of the crenicichla bug again.

Before I get buy-crazy, what are these two little guys (3-4 inches max)? Photos are from the store tanks and they've been then 2 weeks, and I asked to see 'em eat and they downed some brine then the first went after the second. Both had more green in them then can be seen in the photos.

some kinda saxitillis pike, not sure what kind though....

I think I agree with paully on this one......Either that or a Frenata or Saxatilis....But not to sure, the spangling leads me to believe it's something other then a Sveni at that size.

They came labelled Crenicichla Saxitilis.. but my last batch were all Crenicichla sp. "BellyCrawler"..

I think it depends on your region and the DC that the fish come from.. each one has a different species due to supply and demand..

P_P.. Hit me up on PM.. had a few questions about these Pike ID's that I would like to get back to corp. about..

Def not bellycrawlers and def too much spangling to be sveni.

agreed.....like i was saying, im leaning towards Frenata, Lepiota (wrong name and spelling but close) and species Saxatilis....

agreed with getting them feed, but i dont agree on species....time will tell......Sax species are hard as hell to ID when young

Just to clarify I didnot purchase either of these. And i don't know what they are but also don't think either are sveni. Has anyone grown out a similar looking juvi pike? If so please share the adult photos-maybe that would help with the id.
