you want to use flash too if you have it, so we can see the colours. a lot of Vieja species look similar and soemtimes even members of the same species will look radically different. so the pics need to be clear.
I love posting this for reference of adult mayans,
my 11" female I had a few years back, looks nothing like the fish above.
the fish definately has the face of a Vieja cichlid, it could easily just be a rather drab syn.
