Caught this little guy at a small lake here in GA. Was just wondering what he was. He was small but stout, large mouth and almost like checkered speckles along his body with a goldish yellowish tink to him.

IT wold be cool if there would be like his narual surroundsing but i would try it it looks like a bull head so be are care full bull head are CRAZY =]
 
He looks awesome. If the ID is right I'd say he'll do fine in a decent tank just mind the temps.
 
I keep Ameiurus serracanthus and these are absolutely fantastic catfish to keep. The fish in this genus do not get nearly as large as other Ictalurids. And because they are native to the warm waters of southern united states they do pretty well in common aquaria settings. I would agree with the ID of A. brunneus, given the yellow and green coloration. If you see it grow and its more silver and black then its serracanthus.
 
looks like a brown bullhead, but the head kinda looks like a flathead tho too. either way cool fish. ive got a few in my tanks
