all pics are of the same fish...i was confused as i read that scombs don't normaly have gold...

I can't really see the gold coloration in the pics.

But the clear fins are a dead give away that is a scomb.

I would bet that once it fully acclimates that the top of the fish will darken up. They seem to lighten with stress sometimes. IMO

i have had it for a while now not sure exactly, i couldn't get pics...this was one of the TFD's payara that they sent me instead of a rahp...the pics are from my cell so it isn't the best quality to see the gold...i was thinking that it was a scomb, but then i was reading that "TFD payara" thread and wasn't sure of my id as i am new in the world of payara keeping...it has had some fast growth and a huge food bill for a 4"-4.5" fish... average it eats 7+ large rosie/crappie minnows at a crack...by large i mean almose fatheads size...it also has grown like an inch since i got it, witch added to my confustion as i thought .5" was expected...

I think is H.scomberoides. I look the black blotch on opercle and position of pelvic fin.It's shown that only one species.
