There should be a sticky about this fish. It even says in the top of the Youtube comments what it is. A unique Leporacanthicus sp.
 
I take it this has been asked before? I saw the descriptor, but the vid was posted in 2006, so I was hoping more info had come to light...Looking at the fish, it is definitely a Leporacanthicus sp...not Hypancistrus.

Belowwater gets them if you want to pay the crazy price.

I think what was said about them is they are just a colour morph of one of the know Leporacanthicus sp
 
I think they are a color morph as i have breeding Leporacanthicus sp. that will have a few funny blotches in white color.Nothing like that picture yet but i am working on it.
 
I can see that, but if as hinted they are brought in in decent numbers...at what point is it no longer a morph but a strain? Anyone have any?

Not in large quantity at all. I think in ones or twos. That's why the price is literally crazy. From what is said they all go to Japan. Imagine what they are paying lol

It's probably request only and a long wait.
