ID?

saw this on another website and i was wondering what it was? looks a tench would be my best guess or some species of chub....def not a squawfish or grass carp like others said on the other website they kinda suck at iding fish ..ino ull guys will get it...ino the pics arent the best, i didnt take em

That doesn't help too much after one considers how many introduced species there are in CA.

It is shaped like a tench, but tench have prominent barbels at the corners of the mouth, much like common carp, and very fine scales. I think it's one of the larger native minnows, maybe a hardhead or Sacramento sucker, but it's hard to tell from those photos.

I would LOVE to get my hands on a Chevus chasus, but I heard they can be a handful and quite obnoctious.
