suppose to be a red texas but i got it from pet smart so who knows what it is

Most likely a low grade flower horn or hybrid. That fish doesn't look very healthy so hard to tell.

If you shoot your photo from slightly above and angled down, as opposed to looking up, the flash/glare, will disappear from the shot, and it will look more true.
