Idea for self- generating auto feeder…

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Basically, a bug zapper over the aquarium with the catch tray removed…. I have been feeding my fish the zappings from one of these for a while and then I though how convenient it would be if I had a tank under a window. Then you could build a little screen box to enclose the zapper in an open window and then bugs would drop into the water once zapped. The ones that stay stuck in the zapper would be perfect for manual feedings.. they’ll just drop in when you tap them loose.

I don’t have this setup, I have to go out in the backyard to clean my zapper… but thought this might be a good idea for someone.

Some place like FL this could feed a tank of fish all year I bet.

Finally, a DIY thread that
1. I have the materials on hand, and
2. I UNDERSTAND.

Made my day :-)
You gotta be a redneck.

Most bugs just fry on the wire and never drop. But I think you should do it post lots of pictures!
your bugs must be small? there's a whole heckofalot of them that fall here, and this is nothing like Florida or some bad bug places.
