Alright, so I've got a niche in my room. It's currently stuffed with a cabinet/TV thing with a few drawers. Now, I got this radical idea the other day. So, I want to ditch the cabinet thing and throw a tank in there. I've got room for a 125g MAX, so that's the plan as of right now. My biggest concern is the tv. There is nowhere else to put it except for this area. I was thinking of getting something to have it mounted to the call, kinda like hotels and stuff have? Any idea where I could get something like that? Any other ideas? This isn't a flat panel or anything, just a regular 27"? TV. Worst case scenario, I get a smaller TV, but I'm trying to avoid that right now. I'll snap some pics later.


BTW, a 180g is out of the question as my bed is only ~2ft from the front of the planned tank. A 180 would make it impossible to pass through, especially after those late nights... :ROFL:

why need a tv when you have a tank? :screwy:
 
Yea I agree with that..... Screw it... Keep the tv and ship me your 125g... I've got room and if not i'll threow half my house out.. LOL

There we go, excuse the delay. The more I think about this, the more I want to build a U shaped shelf above where the tank would sit. It would be high enough where I could perform water changes and whatnot, but roomy enough to fit the TV and other crap.
 
You might be better off, and safer, raising the tv almost to the ceiling and putting the tank below it. If you use one of those hospital type suspention racks for the tv you could place it in the corner angled slightly down and towards the center of the room giving you a lot of free space.
 
yep they sell them wall mounts at walmart best buy and just about any other place like them just make sure you get one rated for your 27" tv
