i am setting up a sump for my 180 gallon tank. the sump will be a 75 gallon tank. the water outlet from the overflow is through 2 inch pipe. the opening of the first compartment of the sump is 18 X 12 ''. i am going to add a mechanical chamber and a wet dry section on top of this first compartment (probably will be of the same size as the compartment itself). i am looking for idea of how to best distribute the drain water so that it would spray evenly on the mechanical filter media. any idea guys?

i would probably do something like this, with the spray holes drilled in the red PVC sections. crappy illustration, but you get the point. it would look like this if you were viewing down on the sump

sorry, the spacing is coming out all weird. the red sections should be right underneath the PVC tees (T)

I dont know if they make a 4 way tee with a inlet. You could use another 2 split it into to and do that or follow jc's option.

thanks for your inputs.. i wanna go with the design of jcardona1 but having a 2 inch pipe coming in , i don't know if steping it down to 1 inch will cause the water to not escape faster enough. my pump is the eheim 1262 (900gph)
