Hey guys long story short ive gotten rid of or moved all the big nasty aggressive fish, if my idea would work id have the neets, polleni and jd's together.
My overcrowded short-term 55gal consists of:
8" Gold saum
4" Gold saum
Breeding pair of JD's (6-7")
3" Polleni
3x 3" JD's
3x 2.5" Neets
Ive fallen in love with the gt's again since getting a large semi-aggressive version of my little gt. Over the past 4 days ive watched the two male gt's because everything ive read on having two males points to one getting totally ripped up. They basically tolerate each other, the bigger gt even lets the little one use his cave as a shortcut to the other side of the take without flaring. (initially first 48 hours involved flaring)
What I want to know is if I dedicated a 180gal (6x2x2) how many male GT's could I have in there given theyre all atleast 1.5" size difference between them. If theres like 3-4 that growup with eachother would 4x 8" matured GT males tollerate eachother given theres no females ect?
ie the 180 would start ideally like so
1) 8" GT
2) ~6"
3) 4"
4) 2"
Given the gold saums arnt that aggressive and dont provoke fighting this should work shouldn't it?
Just trying to workout how I can manage having a small herd of them
Worst case scenario ill buy a 3 tier setup with 3x 55gals..
Just wanted everyones opinion on this idea!
Thanks a lot!
